Tabletop RPGer since about 1980, began same type of game design early on and self-published as well as e-published for convention sales. Worked for InQuest magazine somewhere around issue 7 and freelance writing for Nightshift Games and many small press companies and gaming zines. Was line editor for Mechwarrior at some point in there. Started mudding with Simutronics around 1994 and spent many years with Dragonrealms and Gemstone 3. Fell in love with SWReality and began building with that codebase with a friend. Worked on a number of projects with same friend and eventually turned an e-published game into a mud (Age of Reptiles) back in 2004.
