Bletchley Park Facing Financial Ruin

biscuitfever11 writes "Bletchley Park, the home of Station X, Britain's secret code-breaking base during World War II, barely scraping by financially, as shown in these images compiled by ZDNet this week. The site has undergone major redevelopment as an act of remembrance for the Allied efforts to break the German Enigma code, but now its future is clouded — among others, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation turned them down for financial assistance (since it doesn't have to do with the Internet). Its director estimates that Bletchley Park's funds will be exhausted in three years. Hungry land developers are circling. This is an insightful look at what's happened to Bletchley Park these days and the pain it's going through."

socketmud++: The Socket datatype

Alright. I picked up most of my programming knowledge outside a classroom setting, and outside of situations like these I'm generally the only one who sees my code, so I never really learned the conventions. I'll try to pay more attention to them next time I have someone look over some code. In the meantime, thanks again for all your help, that should hopefully be enough for me to work with for now.

socketmud++: The Socket datatype

Ungh, I'm sorry. Your first response and my quick reading made me think that the instance of the structure was called players; also, I'm following a convention where class names tend to be capitalized. (Having a good naming convention avoids a lot of potential confusion.) So you're right: if the variable is called player, then you access it with just player.

Past month has been CRAZY people CRAZY! Money mouth Good thing right? Right. I've been working on that whole social life thing! Been neglecting it due to work and such. It didn't turn out to well though, so I'm still working on it.

Anyone want to send me some highlights in the MUD community I may have messed?

Joy! Thanksgiving is comming up. Ummm, food. So everyone who doesn't have some where to eat get to looking! You can have a feast with a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter and jelly; BY YOURSELF if you have too. I'm sure some of us will be sitting on the IMC2 network on the 21st or is it the 22nd ....

Anyway if no one else is on the network I'll make a point to drop by randomly and keep you company! I know how it can be. Just don't burry your head in the sand yet.

I came out of my hole and now I'll be getting back into the computer world for a week or so until I disappear again. Money mouth Just want to wish everyone a good day, night, or morning. As for Halo 3 I've played it for about 32 hours now. Its pretty good. Bungie really did a good job on their www.Halo3.com site. Its one of the best I've seen.
