If you enjoy mud and trucks you will defiantly enjoy going mudding. Its known as a off-road motorsport and is widely popular throughout the United States and Canada region. Mudding is a unique sport that involves people trying to make it through a mud pit in their vehicle with the fastest time. Usually there is a cash prized involved if you are the winner. There are a number of places that offer mud runs on the weekends. This is a great time for the whole family to enjoy. You can either take a truck through the mud or a buggy. Usually a buggy will make a fast time because it is lighter and has an easier time making it through the mud. There are different classes in mud racing for the different types of vehicles trying to make their way through the mud. The rules vary from each class depending on your vehicle type. This sport started out as just a mud hole in the backyard and has grown to weekend events with a large mud pit. These mud pits range in size anywhere from 150 feet to more than 300 feet. The sport has defiantly grown over time and approximately has over 40,000 people attending weekend events.More info here: Merrell Mud Run at Orchard Beach

While off roading is considered stupid to some people, it is actually something that can be a superb amount of fun. When you are racing, you have the ability to go anywhere on the road. You can go into any ditch, dirt or muddy area possible. You have the freedom to drive on any bumps and dips, and that can be truly remarkable. At the same time, off roading can be a bit dangerous. Many people suffer from accidents so make sure you are a good driver and that you take the necessary precautions before you decide to off road.Didn’t catch that? This explains it.

Mudding involves going into very wet and muddy ditches and roads that you can drive on. You then attempt to go as far as possible, as quickly as possible, without being stopped. If you get stuck, then your “race is run.” The point of mudding is to see how great the four wheel drive and the tires are. How much can they take and for how long can they keep going. Just be sure that your car does not sink too much. If you sense that is happening, it is best to stop as safety is the best important thing. But, done properly and mudding can be a great time!

We know, we know, you don’t want to spend every weekend during football season trapped inside watching game on direct but how do you convince your buddies to get out in the mud on a football Saturday? Here are a few suggestions for getting everyone on board.
Set up a bracket: There’s nothing like a little competition to get everyone excited and whether you’re talking about traditional car mudding or something better like mud-wrestling you’ve got to pit your friends against each other to drag them away from their other games.
Invite girls: The one thing guys like more than football is girls, so get some out to the mud track or pit and watch your buddies come a runnin’. You can use ATVs or even dirtbikes to get the girls involved.
Mud football: There’s one thing better than regular football and that’s mud football! Get your buddies outside for a rousing scrimmage and if you must, plan it for the morning before all the real games start. It’s a win win for mud and football lovers alike.

Off-road vehicle owners wait patiently or impatiently for opportunities to get their trucks, ATVs or SUVs dirty and mud events are the place for them to accomplish this.

In Texas the annual Redneck Games will be commencing the first week of August. The games that are held include the starter toss, mattress chuck, mud pit belly flop and the spam eating contest.

Florida offers mud lovers several opportunities to test the four wheeling capabilities of their vehicles with the Third Labor Day Mud-A-thon, which will allow competitors to participate in the best mudding events in Florida. The Warrior dash is an event held in January and drivers will be challenged by the rugged terrain

Bourbon, Missouri prides itself on the mud tracks it offers event drivers. Mudville USA is open every Saturday for individuals who want to test their vehicles power and get their ATV dirty at the same time. They’ve also placed a bounty on one of their holes, so that the first truck to make it all the way through makes a quick 500. Mudville will be checking to make sure trucks don’t just skim the walls and drive all the way through the pit.

Off road mudding is an exciting and affordable activity that will thrill drivers of all ages.

One of the best designed vehicles is the ATV. It is evident that the cities and urbanization in general is catching up with us. With such a scenario, It is therefore only great if we can get to enjoy our time off road. There are many sports that do happen off road. As much as you can go hiking or cycling, this obviously does not come with the thrill that you can only get and feel from the roar of a powerful engine. An ATV is a vehicle that is meant to exhibit speed and power.
Technically speaking, an ATV is a small, open, three or four wheeled vehicle. ATVs are designed specifically for off road travel.
There are two kinds of ATVs there is the utility model, which is designed for power. This kind usually comes with a small trailer for load carrying. It is evident that what they lack in speed they compensate it with power.
The other kind of an ATV is the sports model. The sports model has both speed and power and is meant for races. The models can vary for you can find a three wheeler or a four wheeler. If you love speed, power and adrenalin rush, then an ATV will give you that!

So you have the truck, you have the trailer, but what else do you need for your mudding trip? Here are some important must haves for any bogging enthusiast.

Tow Strap: This is an essential in any mud bogger’s tool kit! When bogging, it is just a matter of time before someone gets in a pit they can’t get out of. When that happens, you are going to want a tow strap handy so you can pull your buddy out. Plus you get the added bonus of bragging rights for pulling their truck out with yours!

Jack: You never know when someone is going to blow a tire and that brings us to the next tool…

Tires: You are going to want to bring a couple for the off chance you get a flat. You don’t want a flat tire to keep you on the sidelines watching while your buddy’s are having fun.

Basic Mechanic Set: You’ll need this for tinkering with your engine to get it running just right.

Most importantly, you need to bring your sense of humor. Things happen, trucks break, don’t let that ruin your fun! It’s all about having a great time and getting dirty!

Participating in off road sports is a pretty dangerous sporting type to get into. There are many dangers due to the types of equipment which you are riding, and the tracks which are typically used in off road sports courses. However, for those interested in partaking in the off road sports world, there are a few ways to stay safe on the courses, and to keep your body in one piece. It is really up to the athlete what they want to wear when riding, but the more protective gear, the better, especially riding these bikes, and other terrain vehicles.

When practicing off road sports, the best way to maintain safety is to buy the proper gear, especially head gear, as falling on your head is pretty common in these races. The proper helmet will definately help in protecting both the entire head and face, but will soften the impact on your neck if you do fall awkwardly. Also wearing the proper clothing and padding on areas which you will most likely fall on (knees, elbows, wrists) is a pretty safe practice. Basically the more padding on your body and the proper helmet, the more safe you will be when participating in off road sports.
