2008, here we come!

A lot of things are going on in life.

  • Spring semester is getting ready to start
  • I actually started learning CSS.  It's not as bad as I thought it might be!  I'm actually enjoying it.
  • I started a circlemud to have something to fiddle with.  Yes, I really started it all by myself!
  • I got banned from my first mud for conducting an audit for TMC.  roflmao...
  • I actually started working through a C tutorial.  Yeah, believe it or don't !
So I guess all things considered I'm doing pretty well aren't I? Woot! Happy 2008 here I come!

  2. Heheh I'm not sure what it tells me really.  One of several possibilities, though:

    • The mud had some issues--licensing issues perhaps?
    • The mud admin has a very thin skin.
    • The mud admin just doesn't like TMC audits? 
    Have no clue, Paradigm. It's a first for me!

  5. Well if it doesn't count as an audit failure it certainly should. I haven't run into any problems yet, even with catching someone who stripped the credits but has been claiming they support and follow the license in public.

    My only fear with audits is that people will fix things to be able to comply but thengo back to their evil ways once they figure nobody is looking and they've received their little checkmark.

  7. Ugh, no idea, Conner! I'll try to drop by again soon.  Just got a bunch of work dumped on me with a grant writing class which is short anyway, 6 weeks!  Then we get to talk about fund raising. Yay!

    Ah, it was just an oversight then, good, I was worried that you hadn't responded to everyone here since I'd commented because you'd thought we'd banned you from our mud over the audit and we definitely weren't the one. (Sorry to hear about the fresh work load, guess that means it's a bad time to ask if you feel like helping to build..*snicker*)
