It is incredibly sad to say that the physical production of CityScape has hit a grinding halt temporarily. I have found that it is impossible to be a one man team. For such things, it is necessary to have others help bring together such a vibrant and lively world. I have not given up as I continue to pound away at the keyboard on a daily basis, adding life to the world that I hope to one day bring into fruition. I have always been someone who aspires for some grand idea and then always falls short. With this project, however, I spend every moment thinking about it and the world around it. I have never lost track of what I wanted to create with CityScape and hope to at some point finish it, hopefully with the help of other talented writers.

I am currently taking applications if any are interested. Feel free to email me at the email found on my profile and be sure to include the following.

1. The topic must be entitled CityScape Application.

2. A brief introduction about yourself.

3. You resume in terms of experience you have had in the MUD and writing field.

4. Show your work by providing examples of finished projects either in the MUD or writing field. Make sure that they stress your writing style.

If you want to see a bit of what the world of CityScape is like, you can check out my other blog, a link is on my profile as well.

On another note. I have put up a wonderful video of a painting that I find to be heart wrenching. It is a still from a game that I grew up with and still play and love today, Shenmue. If anyone has ever had any experience with this game, you would know, as they are some of the most dedicated and passionate gamers in the world. I highly suggest for any not familiar with this delightful game, to look it up and see why everyone who has played it, loved it and is eternally dedicated to it's masterful storytelling.

I find that today is a day of writing down my observations and here is just a few that I have come to a decisive conclusion over. All of these realizations are related in some way to gaming, especially on-line gaming, so please, bear with me.

 1. What happened to gamers? It seems that in this day and age, the world of video game fans has completely diminished into a muddy pool of something I would not dare describe in this blog. For every person who plays video-games for the sheer enjoyment and passion of it, there are 5 who treat it like a race. We sem to always rush in everything that we do, be it real life work, social life and pretty much every single aspect of our day to day acts. Why? video games, at some point in time, were about enjoying the experience. There are so many types of games that provide so many types of play. Even the games that revolve around competition can be enjoyed in moderation and patience, as long as you want to. why are there so many people out there who no longer take video games as a hobby, but as a job? People play games like World of Warcraft to reach the highest level as fast as possible and to get the best gear. People rush to grab games like Halo 3 just so that they can be the best when they play on-line.  Why not just enjoy them?

I am an avid game player. I have played games since I was 3 years old and have owned so many games. I play them for fun. I collect rare games such as Rez (PS2), Panzer Dragoon Saga (Saturn), Ico (PS2) and so many more because of the emotional tie that comes from playing them. I collect systems such as the virtual boy and neo geo because they are a piece of videogame history that so many people forget about. I take these games and these systems and play them. I revel in the experience. I see a game like Shadow of the Collosus (PS2), and I am stricken with awe. I show that same game to a friend of mine and they get frustrated, because they want to tackle their obstacles within seconds (if you have ever played the game, you know that the collosi take a long time to kill and take a lot of planning and trial and error). I play a game of Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360) with my friends and they fling their controllers in anger when they loose and sling verbal abuse when they win. Why? I just enjoy playing the game.

The same goes with online. I remember spending hours playing Call of Duty 2 on Xbox Live. I would listen to so many people just angry and pissed off about the silliest of things. One such example was that someone was pissed off at my gamer tag because it sounded too stupid (The name was MonkeyCashew). When I play an online game like a MUD or an Graphical MMOG, I take my time and enjoy the experience. I see people, fellow team mates and comrades in arms rush out and try as hard as they can to be the best...and then I never see them again, as they have simply tripled my level in mere hours. It is very depressing to really think of such things.

I write this, not in anger towards people, as I am rarely ever an angry person. I write this because I feel so bad for people who can not relax and enjoy a game. I feel bad that they spend their time trying to be the best, that they focus their insecurities on their hobbies and bring out the worst of their personality. It is hard to believe that there are so few out there in the world (at least where I am...they must be hiding or something.) I spend my time with my copy of Pokemon Pearl, Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3 and so much more in hopes of finding someone who is willing to play and not be angry. I want people to enjoy the challenge of playing others. I want people to just come together and have fun, regardless of their skill.

....bah I'm rambling. More to come in the future.

It is a sad, but true affair to be afflicted with the burden of being the sole writer of a MUD. I have taken it upon myself to make real my own personal vision of an engrossing on-line experience for others around me. Utilizing the Mudmaker Tool (found at www.mudmaker.com), I have had easy access to a way to reach my goals with having absolutely no coding experience, as well as a place to host my finalized MUD. A one man army to build and populate a world, as well as test is a large task in and of itself, but the real challenge is in the actual art of it.

I am a writer at heart and have been finding that grinding out descriptions of locations has been a true strain of my abilities. I enjoy the challenge, but am realizing that it takes a long time and a lot of editing and re-editing to create a visual and entertaining experience for people

Bah! I am ranting almost to the point of incoherance, ahh well. Thank you for reading and, be sure to keep your eyes peeled on this blog for some upcoming info on my mud, or you can check out the official blog for my game at www.xanga.com/cityscapemud

This is Aindin, signing off.

To quote Shang Tsung, "It has begun!" This is the first blog into the Muddomain blog spot so Iguess it is time for a thorough introduction. My name is Aindin and I am a writer by passion. I am not a person who believes that my writing is my career, however. I simply find writing to be a wonderful outlet for me and a great way to express myself. I also am a creator. A few years ago, a friend of mine and I decided to go into creating independant animated shorts for people. He would be the artist and I, the writer and director. It was then that we created Bogus Meat Factory Inc, a two man army dedicated to entertaining the world.

We have, to this day, been working hard on our works, refining out skills and really pushing ourselves to the limit in terms of our abilities. We have put out numerous shorts that have gone lost in the infinite abyss of the internet, but still, to this day, I am proud of them. Currently, I am working on behalf of Bogus Meat Factory in the making of a Multi-User Dungeon called CityScape. Using the Mudmaker Tool (found at www.mudmaker.com), since I have no skill in coding, I began  working just recently on making a high quality, easy to play MUD for people to experience.

Here, on this Blog specifically, you will be seeing a huge mixture of information. At times you will read about my personal experiences on a day to day life, talk about CityScapes progress and what you will find in the world (although the majority of information can be found at www.xanga.com/cityscapemud), and also my commentary on the MUD community as a whole. I hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope it gives you a feel for who I am and what I love to do and that is, entertain.

Thank you for stoping by.
